Jean F Benech resigned from Airbus in August 2017 and decided to set-up his own consultancy company.
Up to August 2017, jean was vice president in charge of special projects within Airbus Helicopters Strategy and Marketing team in central Europe, Asia, USA and Mexico. He also represented the interests of Airbus Helicopters in AEROFUND III, an investment fond dedicated to aerospace and defence sector, was in charge of the UAS projects within Airbus Helicopters. and was president of VertiVision, a JVC formed by Airbus Helicopters for the development, production, marketing and sales of VTOL UAS, and member of the Board of KAI-EC a Korean JVC dedicated to the marketing and sales of the Surion helicopter co-developed between KAI and EC.
From June 2005 to July 2013 he was appointed Vice President Company Development and Cooperation of Airbus Helicopters. In this role he was responsible for the mergers and acquisitions operations and strategic partnerships & cooperation. Jean F Benech has defined the road map for the sale of the Surion Helicopter to South Korea and conduct contract negotiations with KAI team., set up the JVC between KAI and Airbus Helicopters (KAI-EC). Because of his very large experience of suppliers and OEMs involved on aircraft and helicopter technologies, Jean was the architect of the Airbus helicopter’s IP and ToT policy.
Jean Benech joined Airbus Helicopters in December 1998 and served as VP Purchasing Director for Avionics, Armament and Mission Equipment.
Jean started his Aeronautic career in November 1986 in the fixed wing commercial aviation branch of AIRBUS. He served as accounting and controlling manager to coordinate the operations of restructuring of the productions units of Saint Nazaire France to prepare the A320 ramp up. In September 1989 he joined the aircraft military and commercial MRO and conversions business branch (Sogerma-Socea-Seca) to perform post-merger integration operations. He served in various positions of management such as financial and commercial Director and Purchasing Director. During that period he developed specific knowledge in industrial and business relationship with South Korea, Central Europe (former USSR block) and Ukraine, Israel and South Africa.
After two years of Financial & Legal Advisor and General Manager of a small private consultant company, he started in November 1981 his industrial carrier in the automotive industry joining Renault. He held increasing responsibilities in the car manufacturing and in the Industrial branches. During 5 years he was the Accounting and Legal manager of the Harvester Branch of Renault Group contributing to the spin-off and restructuring operations to set up a specific (legal entity) profitable company: Renault Agriculture.
Jean Benech holds a bachelor in business management and a master degree in finance and business law from France Clermont 1 University.
